Victron USB Extension Cable 0.3m (One Side Right Angle Connection)

Victron USB Extension Cable 0.3m with Right Angle Connector for Space-Constrained Installations

Compact USB 3.0 Extension for Victron GX Devices and Wall Mount Enclosures

The Victron USB Extension Cable 0.3m solves a common challenge in tight electrical compartments: standard USB plugs often protrude too far, preventing the lid of a wall mount box from closing when a Color Control GX or similar device is installed. This cable features a 90-degree right angle USB-A male connector on one end, reducing the clearance required and enabling a neat, secure fit inside Victron wall mount enclosures.

Built with USB 3.0 revision technology, it supports high-speed data transfer and reliable communication between Victron monitoring components. The 0.3-metre length is ideal for short, tidy connections where excess cable would create clutter or interfere with other equipment. Whether you are commissioning a new off-grid power system or retrofitting an existing setup, this extension cable helps maintain a professional installation.

Why a Right Angle USB Cable Matters in Victron Systems

In many Victron Energy installations, space is at a premium. The Color Control GX and other GX devices often sit inside a wall mount box alongside cabling, fuses, and communication modules. A straight USB plug can add 4050 mm of depth beyond the socket, making it impossible to close the enclosure without straining the connector or cable. The right angle design reduces this protrusion to approximately 15 mm, allowing the door to close properly and protecting the USB port from mechanical stress.

This cable is also useful when connecting a VE.Direct to USB interface or other accessories where a low-profile connection is beneficial. By minimising the risk of accidental disconnection or damage, it contributes to long-term system reliability.

Key Features

• Right angle USB-A male plug for space-saving connections in tight enclosures
• USB 3.0 compliant for fast, stable data transmission between Victron devices
• 0.3-metre length reduces cable clutter while providing sufficient reach inside wall mount boxes
• Standard USB-A female socket accepts most USB cables and accessories
• Designed specifically for Victron Color Control GX in wall mount enclosures
• Durable construction with moulded strain relief for long service life

Professional Installation Benefits

Using the correct extension cable avoids the need to force or bend standard USB leads, which can damage connectors or cause intermittent faults. The right angle orientation also directs the cable neatly along the enclosure wall, improving airflow and making future maintenance easier. For installers and system integrators, this small component can save time and prevent callbacks due to connection issues.

While this cable is optimised for the Victron Color Control GX, it is compatible with any standard USB-A port and can be used in other applications where a low-profile extension is required, such as behind dashboards, in server racks, or inside compact electrical cabinets.
