Victron Busbar 600A 4P/Terminals & Cover

Victron 600A Busbar 4P: Professional High-Current Distribution for Marine and Off-Grid Systems

Streamlined Power Management with Integrated Cover and Stainless Steel Terminals

The Victron 600A Busbar 4P is engineered for demanding DC distribution tasks in marine, solar, and mobile energy systems. Designed to centralise high-current connections, this busbar reduces wiring complexity while maintaining secure, low-resistance contact across all terminals. The included removable protective cover and fire-rated ABS base provide essential insulation, making it a reliable choice for professional installers and system integrators.

Unlike generic busbars that rely on basic brass or unplated copper, the Victron unit features a heavy-duty tin-plated copper bar (19 x 24 mm) for superior conductivity and corrosion resistance. The insert-moulded stainless steel studs eliminate the need for a bottom securing nut, allowing higher torque values and consistent electrical contact over timecritical in high-vibration environments such as engine rooms or off-road vehicles.

Key Features

• 600 A continuous rating at up to 70 VDC for high-demand battery banks and inverter/charger setups
• Four 3/8″-16 (approx. M10) stainless steel studs with flange nuts accept heavy-duty lugs up to 4/0 AWG (approx. 95 mm)
• Additional #8 (4.2 mm) stainless steel screw terminals for auxiliary connections such as monitoring leads or balance wires
• Tin-plated copper conductor resists oxidation and ensures stable performance in humid or salt-laden air
• UL 94 V-0 rated ABS base provides flame-retardant mounting and pre-drilled holes to prevent accidental shorts to metal surfaces
• Detachable ABS cover (UL 94 V-2) shields live terminals from accidental contact and debris
• Raised bus design simplifies cable routing and inspection, keeping installations tidy and serviceable

Engineered for Harsh Environments

Marine and off-grid applications expose electrical components to moisture, vibration, and temperature swings. The Victron 600A Busbar addresses these challenges with stainless steel hardware throughoutstuds, flange nuts, and screw terminalseliminating the risk of galvanic corrosion that plagues zinc-plated alternatives. The tin-plated copper bar maintains low contact resistance even after years of service, reducing voltage drop and heat buildup at connection points.

The insert-moulded stud design is a standout feature: by embedding the stud directly into the base, Victron removes a common failure point found in busbars that use a nut under the bar. This construction allows a recommended torque of 20 Nm (180 lbfinch) on the main terminals, ensuring a gas-tight connection that withstands thermal cycling without loosening.

Applications

This 4-terminal busbar is ideally suited for:

• Marine DC panels: consolidate battery, alternator, and distribution feeds in a single, protected location
• Solar battery banks: create a common negative or positive bus for parallel battery strings and charge controllers
• RV and caravan power systems: manage high-current connections between lithium batteries, inverters, and DC-DC chargers
• Industrial off-grid setups: organise wiring in remote telecom, monitoring, or pumping stations

For larger systems, the 8-terminal variant (available separately) offers additional connection points without sacrificing current capacity.

Installation Confidence

Pre-drilled mounting holes and a compact footprint (65 x 216 x 86 mm with cover) allow flexible placement inside enclosures or on bulkheads. The cover features multiple cable entry cutouts, accommodating various wire gauges while maintaining protection. By centralising connections, the busbar reduces the number of terminations on battery posts, lowering the risk of loose connections and simplifying future maintenance.

Whether you are building a new marine electrical system or upgrading an existing solar installation, the Victron 600A Busbar 4P delivers the reliability and safety expected from a premium power distribution component.
