The Sigma 35mm f/2 DG DN Contemporary is a premium compact prime lens built for full-frame Sony FE mirrorless cameras, part of Sigma’s prestigious I series lineup. Its classic 35mm focal length equivalent to approximately 52.5mm on APS-C bodies makes it an exceptionally versatile choice for travel, street, portrait, wedding, and everyday photography, delivering professional-level optical performance in a beautifully engineered, all-metal body.

Optically, the lens comprises 10 elements in 9 groups, including 1 SLD element and 3 aspherical elements, with Sigma’s Super Multi-Layer Coating to minimise flare and ghosting. The f/2 maximum aperture allows for attractive subject separation and confident shooting in low light, while the 9-blade rounded diaphragm produces smooth, pleasing bokeh. A fast and near-silent stepping motor autofocus system supports Face/Eye Detection AF and video AF, and an internal focusing mechanism ensures the barrel length never changes during use. The lens also features a dust- and splash-resistant brass bayonet mount, a manual aperture ring, and full-time manual focus override.
