What could easily be described as a tailor-made, take-everywhere lens, the Panasonic Lumix 20mm f1.7 lens is fast, wide and incredibly compact. The equivalent focal length of 40mm is great for a range of daily applications, including landscapes, situational portraits, and documentary-style snapshots. The lens is notable for its exceptionally compact and lightweight pancake design, which is a perfect pair for your similarly compact MFT body, allowing you to continue on your travels without your photographic kit getting in your way and imposing on your sight-seeing endeavours.

With its large f1.7 maximum aperture and the 7-blade rounded aperture which is used in the design, the Panasonic Lumix 20mm f1.7 lens is perfect for exploring a varied depth of field within your images, reducing backgrounds to blur if that is your wish, and ensuring that they are of the most beautiful and natural in appearance. Also, a benefit of this bright maximum aperture is the ability to shoot in less-than-perfect lighting conditions, letting in plenty of light when the going gets tough, so your results still have every chance of coming out sharp and detailed. Optically, the lens features two Aspherical lens elements, which limit the appearance of aberrations and distortions and leads to a consistent level of sharpness and detail throughout use. Although small in stature, the Panasonic 20mm f1.7 lens is no wilting flower, featuring a rugged metal casing and a metal mount to allow for confident and repeated use, which will be welcomed by the happy-snapping enthusiast.
