Olympus have held nothing back when producing this stunning lens, the pro-standard M.Zuiko 25mm f1.2. On the Micro Four Thirds cameras that this lens is compatible with, this Olympus prime lens provides a 50mm equivalent focal length, which is ideal for portraits, as well as any other subject that falls within the “normal” range. The fast f1.2 aperture is a real bonus for two reasons, firstly the extreme-suitability to handheld performance, and secondly the wonderfully shallow depths of fields that it can produce and the resulting dreamy bokeh.

Built to exacting standards, the Olympus 25mm f1.2 is physically tough, resulting in dust, splash, and freeze-proof performance. Optically it is superb, its construction of 19 elements in 14 groups, plus Z coating, assuring the sharpest and clearest of images, with no distortions and aberrations to speak of. In use, it will not disappoint, with Olympus’ aptly titled MSC AF system, producing fast and stealth-like autofocus, which is just as reliable for stills shooting as it is for videos.
