A compact zoom lens with premium optical performance, the Canon 24-70mm f2.8 L IS USM lens allows users to leave their favourite fast, prime lenses at home and shoot with just one lens in their kit. Thanks to the wondrous construction from Canon, this lens performs consistently throughout the zoom range, so users will not feel like they are making a huge sacrifice by opting for this one option, over their tried and true specialist kit. The constant f2.8 maximum aperture provides some level of depth of field control, as well as handheld shooting in low-light scenarios, a feature emphasised by the inclusion of the built-in stabiliser.

For the varied subject matter that you will encounter on your daily travels, the Canon 24-70mm f2.8 L IS features an UltraSonic motor, for fast and near-silent autofocus. Canon is well aware that not every subject sits perfectly still while you frame it, and it also knows that discretion can be essential while you travel, which is why this AF system is such a bonus. Worthy of its inclusion in the premium L-series lineup, the Canon 24-70mm F2.8 L is dust and moisture-resistant to allow continued shooting in less-than-perfect environmental conditions. As we all know, the most eye-catching images often come from the most hard to reach places.
