CMS 5m Connection Lead “C” Style

CMS 5m Connection Lead C Style: Modular 240V Power Cable for Caravan and RV Softwiring

Streamlined Power Distribution for DIY Vehicle Builds

The CMS 5m Connection Lead C Style is a purpose-built interconnect cable designed to simplify 240V AC power distribution in caravans, motorhomes, campervans, and other recreational vehicles. Part of the CMS Electracom modular softwiring system, this 5-metre lead enables secure, plug-and-play daisy-chaining of power outlets, reducing installation complexity and on-site electrician time. With a pre-terminated male and female C-style connector at each end, it allows builders to pre-wire circuits during the construction phase, leaving only final inspection and testing for a qualified professional.

Engineered for the unique demands of mobile environments, the lead features a flexible white outer sheath that resists abrasion and is easy to route through wall cavities, under flooring, and within tight cabinetry. The integrated security clip on each connector requires manual manipulation to separate, preventing accidental disconnection from vibration or movement while travelling. This ensures a reliable, continuous power circuit throughout your vehicle, whether you are powering kitchen appliances, entertainment systems, or charging stations.

Built for Australian Conditions and Standards

Compliance with Australian and New Zealand electrical standards is critical for any vehicle installation. This connection lead meets AS/NZ 3112, AS/NZ 61535.1, AS/NZ 3000:2000, and the latest AS/NZS 3001.2:2022 requirements for transportable structures. The sealed connector ends (25mm x 16mm) provide protection against dust and moisture ingress, enhancing long-term reliability in coastal and outback environments. By using a CMS lead, you ensure your electrical system aligns with the stringent safety expectations of Australian certifiers and insurers.

Applications for Caravans, Motorhomes, and Beyond

While primarily designed for recreational vehicles, the C Series connection lead is equally suited to tiny homes, modular granny flats, site offices, and marine applications where a flexible, modular 240V wiring solution is required. Its ability to link multiple power points in a continuous loop simplifies circuit design and reduces the number of junction boxes needed. Whether you are fitting out a new caravan, refurbishing an older motorhome, or building a custom off-grid cabin, this lead provides a professional, tidy, and safe electrical backbone.
